CraftFest
A word from Doug Lyle about CraftFest 2011:
It’s hard to believe that CraftFest has grown from a single track of “craft classes” at the first ThrillerFest in Scottsdale, AZ in 2006 to the two-day school it has become. It’s equally amazing to see the list of best-selling authors who have shared their expertise with writers, both published and aspiring, over the years. It is they who make CraftFest so successful.
And this year is even better. Don’t believe it? I can convince you with a single name.
Ken Follett.
Yes, THE Ken Follett. The creator and godfather of the spy thriller (Eye of the Needle). He will teach a class titled “How Thrillers Work.” If you write thrillers, how can you miss something like that?
I addition we have many of our most popular past teachers back: Gayle Lynds, David Morrell, Steve Berry, Douglas Preston, Heather Graham, Andrew Gross, Hallie Ephron, and others. We have some new faces: Gar Anthony Haywood, Peter James, and new Edgar winner Bruce DeSilva. And many more wonderful instructors.
Don’t forget about the Wednesday morning Bonus Sessions that are free to all registered CraftFest attendees. Our way of saying, “Thanks for coming.”
Sign up early since this year, like every year, CraftFest is filling up and there are a limited number of slots.
Here is the schedule from CraftFest 2011
Hope to see you in NY.
